Position: REU Natural Language Processing Intern
- Lead research project tasked with developing and evaluating different annotation processes in order to find an efficient annotation process for improving a digital survivor of sexual assault
- Developed python programs to read, extract, format, and sort extensive data from XML and excel files, as well as pinpoint the most difficult/useful questions to annotate
Results: Supported my hypothesis that an active learning based annotation process is an efficient approach in improving the interaction of the digital character, specifically during its early stages in development

CodePath Android University (Sept. 2020 - Dec. 2020)
Position: Participant
- Participated in a rigourous 12 week Android University program offered by CodePath and CSUMB in which we accomplishped an app every 2 weeks
- Met through Zoom sessions once a week for 1 hr to do labs that helped us understand concepts used for our app of that week
- Spent 4+ hrs a week to finish the app's milestones and required stories
- Spent the last 5 weeks meeting 2x a week for 2 hrs with my group to develop our own app called BookExchange, which we presented on Demo Day to our peers

- Participated in an intensive 4 week programming institute where Google engineers taught participants how to develop web apps in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and Google AppEngine
- Spent 4 hrs every week day learning personal skills, new CS concepts, and building mini projects with a partner
- During the last week, my partner and I met 3 hrs each day to build a web application called SeeMusic using JavaScript along with the p5.js Library and p5.js Sound Library, which we presented to our peers and faculty
